Our work depends on a Contracts Administrator joining our team to support the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration.

    The National Nuclear Security Administration IT Managed Services (NIMS) is an exciting program performing IT support for the Department of Energy's organization responsible for enhancing national security through the application of nuclear science by maintaining and enhancing the safety, security, and effectiveness of the US nuclear weapons stockpile. This support is provided in several locations across the US giving employees great options for geographically diverse work locations. The primary goal of the program will be to support the NNSA Associate Administrator for Information Management and Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in modernizing its IT and Cybersecurity Infrastructure and transforming current IT and Cybersecurity services to a managed service environment.

As the Contracts Administrator, you will be working with the executive team to transition the contract responsibilities to GDIT and then you will be an integral member working with the Task Order leads to ensure we are compliant with all contractual obligations. You will also review recommended contract modifications with Program and NNSA leadership as required.

    Other responsibilities include,
    • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions; drafts, negotiates and finalizes contract documentation to ensure consistency with the solicitation, proposal, and regulatory requirements,
    • Serves as an advisor to internal clients (Program Managers, Program Control Managers, and Subcontract) regarding legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations,
    • Conducts negotiation and administration of government contracts with signatory authority.
    • Performs 'cradle-to-grave' contract administration functions to support internal and external clients to ensure adherence to processes, procedures, company policy, FAR/DFAR, and legal/ethical requirements,
    • Reviews and resolves issues effecting company compliance and ensure satisfaction of legal requirements, company, and customer objectives.


    HOW A CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
    • Help manage contractual obligations and ensure submittal of materials on time.
    • Have exposure senior leadership with both the client and GDIT leadership.
    • Work across teams and help program leadership coordinate and deliver on complex tasks.
    • Contribute to one of the nation's most important missions, securing nuclear power and arsenals.
    • Utilize organizational, contract management, and customer relationship skills to deliver a successful program.


    WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline.
    • 5+ years of relevant contract administration experience. Contract management experience in a multi-million-dollar award environment preferred.
    • Critical analysis, conflict resolution, meeting facilitation skills.
    • Active DOE Q, L, or TS clearance.
