    Director, Employee Relations

    The Director, Employee Relations role is responsible for providing strategic as well as hands-on support to the business and the HR team in the areas of Employee Relations (ER), policy creation and training, ADA and overall HR compliance. In this role you will lead a distributed team of subject matter experts in ER investigations and Compliance who provide network-wide leadership and management of investigations, consultations and risk assessment in the US. Reporting to the VP/Head of Employee Engagement & Development, you will work closely with cross functional stakeholders including our Global Compliance and HR Team, US HR Business Partners, Training and Development and Legal teams to continue to build upon our compliance and ethics commitments, and implement scalable solutions that support our diverse workforce. You will be the advocate for a positive employee experience and culture by building and implementing policies that are fair and consistent, coaching to address root cause issues, and proactively seeking out employee relations and compliance-related issues through onsite visits, direct coaching and education of our HR team members and business leaders

    You will:

    • Be considered the ER Compliance subject matter expert across HelloFresh US
    • Lead a team of ER Investigators & ER Partner, Compliance, and ADA experts to develop and implement HR policies to satisfy legal requirements, cost containment, and work environments consistent with HelloFreshs core values.
    • Support with the development and standing up of the ER Business Partner function partnering closely with the field HRBP team
    • Promote business ethics and HelloFreshs core values and DNA in all efforts. Responsible for preparing and delivering HR compliance-related training and communications to employees.
    • With your team, deliver specialty training to stakeholders in the areas of ER, compliance, risk mitigation and other areas as needed based on general compliance requirements and any themes that emerge from escalations, reports or regular onsite visits
    • Collaborate with other functional areas like the Legal department and other stakeholders across the US and Global business units in the delivery of compliance programs and training to employees
    • Act as an expert advisor to HR team colleagues and point of escalation on compliance concerns, process gaps and actions from HRBPs, People Relations
    • Review ER-related and compliance insights and themes and provide solutions to address root cause issues; coach and mentor HRBPs on improvement and consistency in documentation,
    • Use data to track, identify, and assess emerging People trends and advise on the potential impacts on our support of the business, especially as it relates to ER and Compliance.
    • Analyze the development needs of business teams and develop and recommend process, policy and training solutions to meet those demands of Employee Relations, Compliance, and work with relevant stakeholders such as Learning Development, Legal, Operations and Global teams.
    • Work in partnership with Legal to research changes in laws and regulations analyze their impact on the organization and communicate findings to stakeholders

    You have:

    • Bachelor's Degree or above in HR or Employment Law, Compliance or 10+ years of experience in handling/leading sensitive and/or highly visible investigations or compliance work
    • Understanding of employment law implications on compliance issues and investigations and the ability to escalate for Legal attention as required.
    • Experience with developing and delivering effective ER, Compliance presentations, and training material to a variety of audiences in a fast paced, high growth environment.
    • Expert understanding of compliance regulations and ability to translate policies to action.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience handling multiple and complex projects simultaneously, and working in an environment that requires flexibility, innovation, superb customer service skills, and organization.
    • Track record of strong collaboration skills, and highly trusted.
