    Job Description

    Pallet Repair Operators - 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shifts

    Up to $18/hr plus performance incentives

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The main job at the service center is the Repair Operator. As a Repair Operator, you will use reciprocating saws and specially designed tools to remove any damaged boards. Replacement boards are then installed and secured using pneumatic nail guns. The pallets weigh about 75 lbs and are supplied on a conveyor to the repair operator, who then slides the pallet, without lifting, to the repair table. Once repairs are completed, the repair operator slides the pallet onto a second conveyor, again without lifting.

    An experienced operator will handle 200 to 250 pallets in an 8-hour shift, or about 2 minutes per pallet repair.

    QUALIFICATIONS ANDEDUCATIONREQUIREMENTS

    The Repair Operator position is very physically demanding and requires strength, coordination, and stamina to perform the tasks noted above in a standing position.

    Previous experience is not necessary.

    Performance incentives are paid for exceeding production and quality targets.
