Job Summary
- The RN in the Med/Surgical/Pediatrics Department will be knowledgeable in the care of the following age groups and maintain RN clinical competency in these groups: Infant, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Sr. Adult, and Geriatric.
- All nursing care functions/responsibilities are based on the ANA standards.
- Responsible for the compliance of Physician/Provider orders.
- Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics, Averas Mission and Averas Service Excellence Standards.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of Registered Nursing Education program.
- 3 years of experience required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire and must be maintained.
- ACLS is recommended.
- PALS is highly recommended.
- Attends all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.
- Participates in educational opportunities and updates/maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.
Work Schedule
- Hours:
- Position requires 72 hours worked in a six-week schedule equating to 624 hours annually, not exceeding 1248 hours in a 12 month period.
- Sixweekends required annually.
Pay
- Flat Rate pay of $50.00
