    JOB SUMMARY

    The Human Resource Consultant under the leadership of the Director, Human Resources Operations will provide business essential HR partnership and support to the enterprise. The Consultant will 1) support the internal human resources employment and compliance programs, 2) consult with, coach and counsel managers and associates regarding processes and policies, 3) provide support to assist in onboarding top talent, 4) provide administrative support for the processing of organizational changes; 5) participate and compose communications related to departmental initiatives and projects and 6) demonstrate consistent corporate commitment to the Values Statement.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Responsible for the improvement, deployment and effectiveness of a broad range of Human Resources processes across the business.
    • Partners in the execution of HR initiatives and projects as defined by the Director to drive results for the business.
    • Develops communications related to changes in processes and HR Administration training.
    • Develops workforce communication and engagement strategies through active communications using company communication tool (Drift), but may include other methods such as electronic boards, PowerPoint, videos, etc.
    • Partners with SCO Leadership leverage communication best practices, and alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Develop and provide input on organizational communications.
    • Coordinates associate engagement events i.e. lunches, celebrations, company events, giveaways
    • Assist in the execution of key activities to support change and adoption such as defining personas, developing key messages, creating/executing against communications plans, measuring adoption efforts, and developing/executing training plans to support change efforts related to key initiatives (e.g. Lean Deployment) and programs.
    • Provides prompt, courteous service to all customers. Prioritizes and addresses customer needs and demands in a professional manner.
    • Works closely with internal departments to streamline processes, implement change, and administer Human Resources services.
    • Ensures the accuracy of data collection and entry of all data points are fulfilled within the steps of the associate life-cycle.
    • Ensures timely notifications of employment status changes.
    • Processes HR data change transactions timely and accurately for new hires, promotions, exits and all other organizational changes.
    • Facilitates training and development programs for HR Administration and team facilitations as needed.
    • Participates in initiatives to improve the overall effectiveness of human resources processes; leads specific improvement initiatives.
    • Ensures compliance with legislative requirements and adherence with Human resources policies and processes.
    • Conducts new associate onboarding.
    • As defined by the Director, assists in conducting and documenting investigations for the business.
    • Supports and partners on other HR projects and initiatives as needed.
    • Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
    • Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and three to four years Human Resources experience with an emphasis in compliance programs and/or associate relations strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Must be able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, manage multiple projects with changing priorities and prioritize with attention to detail
    • Exercise discretion and confidentiality
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
    • Solid competencies in the use of Human Resources management systems, databases, the internet and Microsoft Office Products.
    • Demonstrates expert knowledge of Title VII, ADA and EEOC Laws.

    Physical Requirements

    The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day; and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

    Work Environment

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.

    TRAVEL REQUIRED

    Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis).
