QHSE Specialist
Responsibilities / Tasks
Your responsibilities and tasks:
We are looking for a QHSE specialist who strikes that perfect balance of change agent, HSE expert, and process guru. This person should be missionally driven and thrive in the following areas:
- Partnering with divisional heads and local site management to collaboratively develop and execute on a strategic vision for a world class QHSE program.
- Connect with the hearts and minds of people in fostering a proactive safety culture driven by engagement programs, training, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization locally and globally.
- Perform various assessments, audits, trainings, root cause analysis, and reports related to QHSE programs and policies, as well as enforce all legal and customer requirements.
- Be a subject matter expert and advisor on health, industrial hygiene, risk assessments, and management of change processes at designated locations and areas.
- Assist the Head of HSE with maintaining the various ISO certifications and complete internal audits to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and OSHA standards.
- Execute projects and programs and manage changes with the ability to lead and drive accountability through influence.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Your profile and qualifications:
- B.S. degree in related field
- ISO 9001 required; 14001 & 45001 Standard experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of QHSE Service or Operations experience
- Experience with LOTO, Confined Space, Raspatory infection, & Behavioral based safety programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well-developed problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills, assertive self-starter, detail oriented and strong organization skills.
- Travel up to 25% of time to GEA North America [United States & Canada] Service sites.
- Sit for up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to lift/carry 25-35 lbs. occasionally
- Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard
- Experienced in manufacturing areas that may require personal protective equipment.
