    House Supervisor (RN) - Nursing Administration

    HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center is a 444-bed acute care hospital in the heart of Houstons museum district. Established in 1975, the hospital has been serving Houston for more than 40 years. It provides a wide range of medical services, including cardiology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurology, emergency care and more.

    The hospital is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.

    What you will do in this role:

    • Knowledge of hospital administration, nursing services, customer relations, and serves to facilitate communication among customer groups.
    • Initiates conflict resolution and refers these issues to the appropriate manager or director; maintains a high degree of visibility within the nursing units and serves as a resource and role model for the nursing staff.
    • Provides care or services for the following age group/groups: Adult (20 65y) and Geriatric (65y & older).


    What qualifications you will need:

    • Registered Nurse, BSN required
    • American Red Cross or America Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification is required.
    • 2 years previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
    • Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills; management experience in hospital/health care environment; proven managerial skills; supervisory experience required.
    • Ability to communicate with all customers both orally and written in a clear, professional and effective manner.
