Location: Rye Brook, NY
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Full-time: Benefit Eligible
In this role, you will:
Staff management including but not limited to training, competency and proficiency records
Prepare and revise SOPs and manuals
Perform interviews and all hiring
Review annual employee performance evaluations written by supervisors and determine/approve merit salary increases
Hold staff meetings and communicate minutes to senior management
Validations Expand testing menu and genetics testing if requested
Develop QA tracks and monthly statistics
Act as a member of the QA committee
Oversee consensus conferencing and QA documentation
Prepare the laboratory for CAP and NYS inspections and proficiency testing results
Oversee supply ordering and scheduling of preventive maintenance for all equipment
Troubleshooting technique and review of all complex and difficult cases
Annual budget review for FISH, Flow and PCR
Maintain and supply productivity, quality and TAT metrics
Oversees, flow, molecular, and cytotechnologist

Experience:
- BA/BS preferably in Biology/Molecular/Genetics
- New York State Licensed Technologist & ASCP certification or eligibility.
- Must possess at least 3-5 years managerial skills

This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, as well as abide by all applicable privacy and security standards. Employees are expected only to access PHI when it is required to fulfill job duties.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $130,000/annually.Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
