JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our Registered Nurse (RN) will be providing care to patients undergoing procedures in the department of radiology's Interventional Radiology division. We are seeking RNs who have:
A strong skill set in critical care, cardiac rhythm identification, practicing independently, and
Previous experience in the administration and monitoring of patients receiving moderate sedation is recommended.
At UVMMC, the Staff Nurse II provides professional nursing care to patients in varying state of health and illness by assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing plan of care. The Registered Nurse functions as an essential member of nursing and multidisciplinary teams, providing direct patient care, instruction, and preparation for continuing care after discharge. Our RNs may take charge as operational need allows.
CALL:
One weekend (Friday evening-Monday morning) and 4 weekdays (Monday-Thursday) every 9 weeks. Set call schedule.
EDUCATION:
Current RN licensure in Vermont or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required.
We are moving toward an all Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) workforce. All external candidates hired into, or current employees promoted to, a RN position will be required to obtain their BSN as outlined in the terms of their offer letter.
EXPERIENCE:
Greater than one year of experience as an RN is required.
Previous experience in the administration and monitoring of patients receiving moderate sedation is recommended
Nursing experience in critical care nursing is preferred

SIGN ON BONUS & RELOCATION ELIGIBILITY:
External candidates are eligible for a one-time signing bonus of $10,000 (prorated for part time roles). The bonus will be paid out as a $5,000.00 gross pay adjustment in the first pay check and the remaining $5,000.00 will be paid upon completion of one year (2,080 hours/ prorated for part time) of satisfactory service.
Candidates joining us in a full-time Staff Nurse II position, from a distance that is greater than 50 miles from their previous role and home, are eligible for relocation assistance up to $9,200.
