    Cardiac Surgery Nurse Supervisor

    Are you an experienced cardiac surgery nurse looking for a new and exciting opportunity in Southern Maryland? We are currently seeking a Cardiac Surgery Nurse Supervisor to join our team at a highly reputable 400+ bed hospital that is part of a larger health network. Our hospital is located in a vibrant and growing community, just a short drive from Washington, D.C. and the Chesapeake Bay.

    As our Cardiac Surgery Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the cardiac surgery nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our state-of-the-art OR Deparment. You will be a key member of our nursing leadership team, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the cardiac surgery nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our state-of-the-art cardiac surgery unit.
    • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients.
    • Implement and maintain nursing policies and procedures that meet the standards of the hospital and accrediting agencies.
    • Develop and maintain a competent and motivated nursing staff through effective recruitment, training, coaching, and mentoring.
    • Ensure that the nursing staff is compliant with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursing staff, providing regular feedback and coaching to promote continuous improvement.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with a focus on cardiac surgery
    • Current Maryland nursing license
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
