    Telemetry Unit - Registered Nurse

    Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

    Experience:

    12 months of Telemetry Unit experience is required.

    12 months of travel experience is required.

    3 months of experience with Cerner is required.

    Requirements:

    Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license in hand at the time of application.

    This role will require floating to multiple units

    Candidates must live at least 160 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

    COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Declinations not accepted.

    Flu vaccination required to apply. Medical declinations accepted.

    Additional Details:

    Candidates with a permanent Maine Address are NOT eligible for assignment at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

    48 guaranteed hours

    RTO of 6 days or less with no holidays will be considered.

    Patient Types: Cardiac medical and post-surgical/proceduresheart failure, angina, acute MI, NSTEMI, cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, TAVR, watchman, CABG, MVR, AVR, EP studies, pacemaker/AICD, TEE, TTE, stress tests, s/p cardiac cath

    All beds have telemetry monitored on the unit

    Skills required: Chest Tubes, temp pacemakers (preferred not required), Cardiac drips (Cardizem, amiodarone) protocols for rate changes
    Reading/Interpreting Rhythm strips

    Floating: If yes, where? Rarely, if so only to the other cardiac unit (RN and Tech). May also rarely by required to float to Med/Surg

    Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other

    No call

    Holiday Expectations: 2/4 as needed

    Scrub Color: Any color, professional

    Maximum days off: 6 days

    2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type)
