    An HR Business Partner, working through pre-established standards, corporate programs and in collaboration with HR SMEs, is responsible for streamlining HR functions across the Resort. They engage employees in various employee activities designed to increase retention in the workplace, work with BU Leaders to forecast staffing/skills needs, support performance management and learning programs and manage the employee termination process on behalf of the organization.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Builds strong, collaborative relationships with Business Unit to identify operational needs as they relate to HR services; Develops a deep understanding of the operation to effectively influence decision making as it pertains to HR matters including workforce planning, conflict resolution, talent and performance matters.
    • Handles highly sensitive and confidential employee relations issues including workplace investigations, workplace conflict, discipline, absence and performance management
    • Lead and/or participate in the development and execution of various components of the People Strategy to enhance the employee experience; Collaborates with Employee Services, Recruiting, Compensation to support implementation processes, policies; provides insights on improvement opportunities and shares internal and external leading practices.
    • Facilitates Corporate Training programs; develops training course materials, as required, in collaboration with internal and external subject matter experts.
    • Manages all employee data /records in HRIS from Hire to Termination

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • University Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or College Diploma in HR, Business or related field required
    • HR designation (CHRP/CHRL) or 8 years' experience required
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in Human Resources required including experience dealing with a variety of employee relations issues.
    • Sound knowledge of employee-related legislation (Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act) required
    • Previous experience in Workday Human Capital Management preferred
    • Previous experience/education in Adult Learning preferred
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
