Senior Controls Engineer
Our client, an up-and-coming industrial equipment supplier to diverse industries (medical device, semiconductor, aerospace, electronics etc.), is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join their growing team.
In therole, you will be a key contributor and subject-matter expert.Projects include complete design & build from scratch, writing code, and mentoring younger engineers. Minimal travel.
The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical orComputer Engineering and 5-10 years of experience. (Candidates with an Associates Degree and strong controlsexperience are also encouraged to apply.)

Location:Oakdale, MN (55128)
Salary:$105,000 - $130,000/yr. - profit sharing available
Travel:5-10%
Paid Time Off:4 weeks

- Associate's/Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer engineering and at least 5-10years of controls engineering experience in custom automation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in the design of electrical control systems, including power distribution, PLC configuration, and machine safety
- High proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs, other platforms a plus
- CompactLogix, ControlLogix, FactoryTalk SE & ME
- Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with robot programming (Epson, Adept, Fanuc)
- Experience with vision programming (Cognex VisionPro & In-Sight, Keyence)
- Experience with motion control & servo motors is highly preferred
- Experience working within MES and SCADA systems (plus)
- Experience creating electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Competent in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- US citizen or authorization to work permanently for any Employer in the United States
