    PLC Technician

    Experis, a division of ManpowerGroup, is searching for a PLC Specialist in Mankato, MN for a major Manufacturer. This is a direct hire opportunity with annual salary and great benefits.

    Job Title: PLC Specialist
    Location: Mankato, MN
    Pay: $ $75,000-$90,000


    Job Responsibilities & Tasks:
    Troubleshooting and Diagnosis

    • Identify and resolve electronic or mechanical malfunctions to minimize production downtime.
    • Work Orders and Documentation:
    • Execute planned work orders, including special projects, improvements, and installations.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of equipment.
    Electrical Controls:
    • Develop and maintain electrical controls documentation.
    • Manage factory software, including PLC, and oversee controls obsolescence plan.
    PLC Logic and Programming:
    • Maintain and enhance PLC Logic control, overseeing changes and revision programs.
    • Program and modify both new and existing PLC programs.
    Instrumentation and Automation:
    • Troubleshoot problems related to plant instrumentation and automation equipment.
    • Calibrate and validate plant instruments, covering various parameters.
    Maintenance Tasks:
    • Perform maintenance tasks, from minor repairs to major overhauls on all equipment.
    • Support equipment installations, retrofits, and upgrades, coordinating with vendors and contractors.
    Project Management and Communication:
    • Examine jobs to determine scope and plan the most efficient way to accomplish tasks.
    • Collaborate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and vendors as needed.
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in a PLC technician role in an industrial environment.
    • Strong engineering and technical skills, including PLC, Electrical, and Mechanical proficiency.
    • Proficiency in Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC programming/troubleshooting.
    • Advanced knowledge of compressed air systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and water processing.
    • Physical inspection capabilities, including climbing, reaching, and extending.
    • Working knowledge of Ethernet/DeviceNet/DH/ControlNet/Remote I/O Systems.
