This Control System Analyst position is based at our Camden, NJ Slag plant. The Camden Slag Plant is a small team of 18 people where everyone takes ownership in their responsibilities and willingly assists others wherever necessary.

What youll get to do
- Provide guidance and supervision to electricians in the repair, maintenance and installation of electrical, instrumentation and control systems including process problem solving, measurement activities, scheduling and evaluation that enable continuous plant operations.
- Ensure the operational viability of the plant by evaluating and maintaining the proper functioning of all electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
- Involvement with process instrumentation and automation equipment specifying and selecting control equipment to maximize automation efforts
- Participate in the design, installation, and commissioning of plant upgrades
- Maintain proper documentation of electrical, instrumentation and automation systems
- Ensure optimum operation and reliability for electrical power systems and process control systems
- Support and consult plant management on upgrades to improve plant performance
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of process control system modifications to maximize plant efficiency
- Promote a high level of safety awareness and ensure a safe work environment
- Troubleshooting and diagnosis of plant system problems
- Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting the plants electrical system
- Provide electrical support to the plant for all shifts by participating in the plants on-call program.
- Support the implementation of HTC Electrical, Instrumentation and Process Control Concepts for all plant projects
Essential Experience and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in the following: Gas Analyzers, Transmitters, Control Loops, Temperature/Pressure/Vibration/Level/Weighing scales and instruments, Variable Frequency Drives, and Dosing Systems
- Familiar with PLC/DCS and HMI architecture; Knowledge of Siemens, Multilin, Allen Bradley and ABB PLCs software and hardware a plus
- Proficient Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of CAD software (design of system installations)
- Good knowledge of database management for large control systems, communication networking systems, control software programming, alarm system management and graphics development
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Engineering Technology
- Experience in programming, instrumentation, power systems, and troubleshooting controls
Work Environment
- Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
