    The Role

    Applies approved technologies and architectures to specific requirements for additions to support growth and new services.This position is responsible for all raised floor hardware installation and break / fix consisting of large systems environments for mission critical sites and provides direction and technical guidance for installing and monitoring operating system hardware. Installs hardware, supports break/fix, and provides support for small and large system hardware including other attached data communications devices.

    The Main Responsibilities

    • Supports, assists, and plans with vendors cable pulls, equipment installation and/or relocations/upgrades.
    • Reviews all Service Now tickets for tracking assigned incoming work.
    • Creates and manages Change Management Requests (CMR's) for all raised floor work including validating that the records get approved.
    • Work on standards and inventory controls for all hardware requirements.
    • Implements all Raised Floor changes, as directed, with the exception of Vendor Installs, Large System and Midrange. This includes Server, KVM's, KVM Configurations, Routers, Switches, and Cabling.
    • Performs all small connection runs, tests, and validates connections.
    • Supports on- site 24x7 as it relates to Raised Floor Hardware break/fix, including on-site support and replacements with the exception of Vendor Installs.
    • Physically installs Cross-Connections for voice and data configurations.
    • Assists in the design of floor plans and infrastructure for new hardware installations.
    • Manages to departmental standards and supports the inventory of critical raised floor hardware
    • Responsible for the development, integration and management of all critical raised floor-servicing standards to include equipment installations, hardware maintenance, hardware racking, cable management, and vendor support.
    • Works with critical departmental managers to ensure consistent and high quality support for all mission critical operations/applications.
    • Assist with project planning remotely for other data centers.
    • Maintain and communicate with team and customers on projects in the pipeline to ensure all parties are kept up to date as well as updating documentation to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

    What We Look For in a Candidate

    • Fully seasoned with typically 5+ years professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience or 2-3 years with a Master's Degree.
    • College degree required. Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record.

    Compensation

    The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

    This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

    This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
