Join our team! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities include:
- Supervise a team of Systems Engineers across multiple programs within the directorate
- Mentor team members through technical challenges, providing growth and guidance as needed
- Distribute program tasking amongst team members; work with the IPT Lead on resource allocations
- Provide tasking status updates to program Project Engineers and Program Managers as required
- Identify program risks and work mitigation strategies
- Support new program proposal activity, evaluating technical needs and providing input
- Work with team members on goals, career interests, and performance discussions
Must-haves:
- Bachelor's of Sciencedegree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Practicalknowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
Preferred:
- Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such Jama, Dassault 3DX, Cameo, Dymola, and MATLAB
- Knowledge of industry standard system engineering design principles, requirements management approaches, Traditional Systems Engineering and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) approaches
- Experience in the application of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288
- INCOSE ASEP/CSEP Certification
- Background in assessing and addressing Aerospace and Defense System Complexity and System Integration challenges
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary team through system baseline definition and maturation exercises in a complex development setting
- Experience in contributing to and executing high-impact trade studies
- Experience as a supervisor to a team of engineers

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
