    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with cross functional teams in Operations, Sales, Customer Solutions, Finance, Risk, HR, and Compliance, to support business objectives, customer needs, and assess and mitigate risks of new and existing business initiatives
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on various regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines
    • Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, on a variety of matters, including product development, distribution, marketing, and claims
    • Conduct research and analysis of complex legal and regulatory issues, keeping abreast of industry developments, and communicating findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, regulatory filings, and other legal documents
    • Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as required, representing the company's interests in regulatory proceedings, examinations, and audits
    • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance regulatory compliance awareness and understanding within the organization
    • Monitor and assess changes in insurance and financial services regulations, proactively advising stakeholders on potential impact and recommending necessary actions

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Qualifications

    • JD from an accredited law school; member in good standing of at least one state bar
    • 5+ years legal experience in a law firm or in-house
    • Experience with insurance regulatory and/or financial services regulatory issues, ideally in mortgage finance
    • Inclusive and open mindset

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate legal concepts clearly and concisely to both legal and non-legal stakeholders
