JOB SUMMARY: A highly analytical role in business analytics, data mining/analysis. This position will assist in providing business analytics for UPR Sourcing. Prepares and interprets reports on key spend categories, performs in depth analysis on sourcing opportunities. The role will serve a key member of the sourcing team, managing broad assignments to assist in the procurement of finished goods and services for a global theme park environment. The role will ensure that the sourcing specialists are aligning sourcing efforts with key spend categories across UPR properties with a key goal to understand the total cost of ownership models prior to executing the sourcing process. This role will work independently with various levels of management in all areas of the parks businesses which may include NBCUniversal and Comcast entities and will serve as key implementation leader for projects across of the business units (UOR, USH, USJ, UBR) in Parks.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the execution of the category strategic sourcing process, by creating in depth analytics including supply market analysis, supplier identification and outreach, RFI/P development and data gathering for first step data benchmarking, online bidding, supplier response analysis and negotiation including analysis of key commodity markets, futures, and global supply/demand volatility.
• Develop reports and data analysis for specific categories that can be used across UPR entities. Act as the key liaison for report creation and development in assigned category.
• Develop timely, high-quality reports and data deliverables for spend analysis and baseline development in a variety of company procurement systems including (Concur, P-Card, Purchase Manager, Maximo, and Eatec). Present analysis and findings in clear and logical manner with strategic recommendations. Creates and defines the key metrics used to better analyze the business and its needs.
• Creates Ad Hoc Analysis to support business unit decisions.
• Conduct supplier orientation and training on the sourcing process as well the administration of the key procurement systems.
• As required, conduct analysis to support benefits estimation and documentation and use analytic techniques to further support complex sourcing and supply chain projects as well develop Balanced Score Card (BSC) risk and scenario models.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2-3 years commodity buying experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills in supervising or leading the work activities of others preferred
• or equivalent combination of education and experience.
