Overview:

*** $4,000 sign-on bonus*** (Newly hired employees will receiv $1,320 after 30 days, $1,320 after 180 days, and $1,650 after 365 days).

*** $5,000 relocation bonus*** (Newly hired employees living at least 50 miles from the Fargo plant will receive $5,000 in relocation assistance to move within 25 miles of the Fargo plant).

Responsibilities:

The Inspector A will do the following:

1. Inspect piece parts and assemblies to ensure conformance to engineering specifications and quality requirements.
2. Visually check for defects such as cracks, pits and poor welds.
3. Measure dimensions using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, a romer portable coordinate measuring machine and using aids such as surface plates, v-blocks, gage blocks and templates.
4. Test products for defects using equipment such as paint adhesion, a hardness tester. instrument.
5. Rejects parts and assemblies found to be defective and participate in the disposition of these rejects.
6. Actively perform work to ensure WCM criteria is met.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must have good attendance record.
• Must be able to follow through on verbal and written instructions.
• Proficient in reading blue prints.
• Must know how to use the following: inspection tools, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, coordinate measuring machine, surface plates, v-blocks, gage blocks, templates,, hardness tester.
• Must have knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances.
• Must be able to pass certification test to become Certified Mechanical Inspector through the American Society of Quality.
• Strong computer skills.
• Analytical skills.
• Knowledge of PC-DMIS desired.
