Controls Technician
Responsibilities / Tasks

As a control's technician, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and troubleshooting of Rockwell PLC, HMI and motion control software.
- Controls Technician is responsible for the development, maintenance and troubleshooting of Rockwell PLC, HMI and motion control software.
- Responsible for the development, maintenance and troubleshooting of Rockwell PLC, HMI and Motion Control Software.
- Responsible for in house testing of developed Rockwell PLC/HMI software.
- Responsible for software modifications at customer sites as required.
- Responsible for software documentation.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Shop and Customer service.
- Control Panel design a definite asset.
- Possible 70%-80% travel.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Software / Hardware Troubleshooting required.
- Technical School or equivalent work experience, PLC programming, Electronics Troubleshooting, Industrial Process Controls.
- Knowledge of EPlan. Create new drawings and update existing.
- Experience in back panel building.
- Knowledge of PLC Programming, in particular and Allen-Bradley.
- Motion control and higher level programming, e.g. Visual Basic a Plus.
- Experience in developing software projects and customized software solutions.
- Experience in fault diagnostics in PLC programming on machines.
- Familiar with Industrial process equipment, particularly Food Processing
- B&R programming, (Bernecker and Rainer), Siemens a Plus.
