    Inbound Logistics Coordinator

    Position Overview:

    The primary purpose and responsibility of the Inbound Logistics Coordinator position is to ensure that inbound shipments of Duluth Trading Company products and supplies from its overseas and domestic vendors arrive at the right time, at the right place and at the right cost per our contractual agreements. This will be accomplished through consistent collaboration and communication with external transportation vendors and key internal Duluth stakeholders (Merchants, Inventory Planning, Transportation, Quality, Receving, etc.).

    What Youll Do:

    Approve and coordinate freight forwarder booking requests and domestic vendor shipments and audit/approve related invoices. Track and communicate the status of shipped vendor POs through ocean, air, and ground transportation modes for both domestic-based and international vendors.

    Communicate with vendors and freight forwarders to execute PO expediting requests received from Merchandise Planners.

    Estimate PO arrival dates and communicate to Merchants, Inventory and Fulfillment center colleagues as needed. Prepare, maintain, and distribute reports related to PO arrival status and other ad hoc requests.

    As needed, request commercial documents from Vendors and send to Broker for customs clearance. Facilitate productive communication with internal and external partners while maintaining confidentiality standards.

    Collaborate with Director of Transportation to identify and utilize the most cost-effective modes of inbound transportation that meet NDC requirements.

    Participate in regular business review meetings with inbound carriers including updates on assigned KPIs and pricing/service enhancements.

    Responsible to troubleshoot vendor receiving discrepancies and facilitate communications with DC Receiving Team, freight forwarders and vendors as needed to resolve.

    Continuously seek process and policy improvements to drive increased customer service levels and decreased logistics costs.
    Learn and utilize technology solutions (WMS, TMS, inventory planning) to manage day-to-day operations as well as inbound planning and modeling. Assist with other inbound logistics tasks as assigned.

    What Were Looking For:

    High School diploma (required)
    Bachelors degree in Operation or Supply Chain (preferred)
    Equivalent work experience would be considered

    5+ years of experience with a retailer in a similar role in transportation planning and coordination (preferred)
    Strong logical and analytical skills.
    Proven success in a detail orientated position.
    Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
    Comfort learning new systems/tools including proprietary systems
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
    Team player who encourages cooperation.

    Compensation Range:$22.50 - $25.00/hour

    Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
