    Position Summary...

    What you'll do...

    Translate Walmart Business Initiatives within one's discipline to critical customer journey flow. You will also be responsible for setting up the Test automation framework for Mobile/Web applications and integrate it with CI/CD pipeline. You should also be able to Implement best practices from the industry for the test automation suite and be able to mentor team members as the team grows.

    As a Walmart Senior Software Engineer, you will play pivotal role is an outcome-based problem solver, a strategic thinker who has an analytical mindset and is results-oriented with an intersection of strong Product Management, Program teams and Engineering teams.

    You will be an integral part of overall Customer Journey experience E2E team. As we look at the growing and focusing for better customer experience, you will be collaborating and co-ordinating with multiple cross functional teams and will make great impact with experience in automation testing, building test suites and triaging issues.

    About the Team:

    Team to provide robust automation for validating customer journey business flows to maintain 100% uptime with highly stable production system. As part of this transformation, we're seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive E2E initiatives from concept to development and it's executions.

    What You'll Do:
    • Develop Software Quality Assurance (SQA) test plan, Test case preparation; Test Objectives; Test Strategy; Test types; Test tools (E.g. - Automation - Selenium, Agile - Jira, Mobile - APPIUM etc.); Test Environment; Root cause analysis. To translate customer requirements into test strategy.
    • Ensure that the test cases cover all the test scenarios (E.g., for functionality, performance, security, integration, data migration and accessibility) for the product/solution requirements.
    • Drive and lead execution of test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects for the entire product.
    • Drive creation of scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery).
    • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
    • Provides solutions for coding errors by collaborating with software developers to review coding algorithms; developing unit testing plans to test code; developing testing requirements based on code functionality; analysing testing results to determine needed fixes; querying application logs and databases and checking configuration files to troubleshoot issues encountered during testing; resolving minor code errors; and recommending code fixes or solutions for testing errors.


    What you'll Bring...
    • At least 4+ years of experience as Automation Quality Engineer
    • Experience in building UI and API Test Automation Frameworks and libraries
    • Proficient in automating tests using Selenium and Appium, or similar frameworks.
    • API testing, Integration testing and solid understanding of REST API's
    • Proficient in using JIRA to log defects, develop test scenarios, execution and create status reports/dashboards.
    • Experience in writing complex SQL queries.
    • Experience in setting up CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins and GitHub are preferred.
    • Experience in Agile / Scrum / Kanban model is preferred.
    • Proficient in any of the programming Java, JavaScript, Python is preferred,
    • Experience in Postman, Eclipse, JUnit, Maven, Gradle, TestNG, POI and respective open source or similar tools are preferred.
    • Experience in performing feasibility, compatibility test & prototyping for various features are preferred.
    • Experience in Functional and Integration testing with cross browsers or products
    • Clear communication skills to work closely with stakeholders on Sprint/Test Strategy
    • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

    The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

    Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

    Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

    - Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

    - Stock equity incentives
