    Center Operations Manager

    Description

    The Center Operations Manager (COM) at Langley Research Center (LARC) is responsible for the programmatic, financial and customer relationship success of the NASA End-user Services & Technologies (NEST) program at LARC. In this role, the COM will lead the NEST center team and successfully execute program requirements.

    The COM will be responsible for the execution of operations set forth by program and Leidos leadership; establishing and building strong customer and industry relationships; leading internal center cross team collaboration within the Service Delivery and Logistics Service Lines; working with the broader Leidos organizations, and responsible for working with local subcontractors to ensure program success.

    NEST provides end-user services such as compute, mobile, and print device deployment and refresh, incident and problem management, email and collaboration, enterprise operations, and information security to all 10 NASA Centers and other performance sites nationwide. The COM is the Leidos site manager responsible for all operational aspects of the program at LARC, located in Virginia.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Working closely with and building relationships with the NASA center customer community.

    Building and maintaining strong team morale through proactive measures.

    Managing program risks and opportunities at the local NASA center.

    Managing program milestones through adherence to program level plans and schedules.

    Developing and executing corrective action plans to mitigate internal or customer identified issues.

    Meeting financial goals supporting the program's Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

    Driving on-contract growth goals.

    Participating in the development of future strategies for future NASA acquisitions.

    Required Qualifications:

    Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong team morale is a must.

    Demonstrated success building relationships and successful interactions with senior level customers.

    Experience with Program Integrated Master Plan and Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS).

    Demonstrated experience establishing teaming relationships, partnerships, and oversight of subcontractors.

    Understanding of risk and opportunity management processes.

    Understanding of program financial and business processes and metrics.

    Demonstrated experience in strategic planning.

    Experience executing programs in an agile environment.

    Briefing external and internal senior leadership teams on program performance.

    Experience with large Enterprise IT Service Delivery programs.

    Education & Experience:

    Requires either a BA/BS and 5+ years of prior relevant experience, masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

    Desirable Knowledge, Skills, or Experience:

    PMP Certification

    ITIL Certification

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
