Warehouse Packer Associate
Location: Easton, PA
Shift: 1st-2nd-3rd Shifts Available
Pay: $17.00 to $19.00
About the Position:
Our Client is a leader in Baking and Food Distribution. They are a newly located in the Easton. This is an entry level role at Bakerly Barn as packing operators will perform minimized work load, however, expected to uphold quality and efficiency standards as directed. The role includes performing various job roles in a rotation, reacting to lights and sounds should deviations occur, and communication with line conductor to ensure any deviations of product that are detected are reported in a timely manner. The role includes sanitation pending on shift that includes but is NOT limited to daily task sheet, and master sanitation list. - The position will be located in Easton, PA 18040
Shifts:
- Work Hours: There are a variety of Full Time Shifts.
- PRIMARY FULLTIME SHIFTS
1ST SHIFT @ $17/HR - 5AM-1:30PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY
- 6AM-2:30PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY
2ND SHIFT@18/HR
- 1PM-9:30PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY
- 2PM-10:30PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY
3RD SHIFT@19/HR
- 9PM-5:30AM MONDAY-FRIDAY
- 10PM-6:30AM MONDAY TO FRIDAY
Dress Code:
- CASUAL Warehouse Attire(but bring a sweatshirt or hoodie in case you are in a cooler section of the building)
- Protective shoes: (steel toe /composite shoes or shoe covers)
Pay Range:17.00 to 19.00
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and promote awareness to supervisor and/or management team with any discrepancy that may present itself
- Maintain accuracy of packing sheets for traceability and to ensure count is correct
- Assist in changeovers
- Follows rotation to minimize repetitive work and improve ergonomic safety
- Assists in downtime periods with rework, corrugate, labeling, waste removal, etc.
- Verify visually product quality, date code present and accurate, etc.
- Will sustain a quality product from reception to pushing area, to end function of palletizing a neat and orderly pallet.
- OSHA regulations compliant
- Proper PPE and attire always when on the floor; including but not limited to gloves, hairnets, beardnets, safety shoes.
- Adhere to GMPs to and from the production floor; handwashing, sanitizing, wearing a labcoat in the packing room, no candy, food, gum, tobacco in the production area.
- Maintain SQF practices; including but not limited to organized tooling, easily read lot numbers, and maintaining an overall clean and organized workspace
- Report ALL quality and safety concerns to reporting manager or member of management team not limited but including; unknown visitors, pest control, expiration or production quality in question, sanitation, etc.
- Continuously observe and evaluate operations to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Stand/walk for up to 8-12 hours
- Walk in/and around the warehouse with great frequency
- Regularly bend, lift, stretch and reach both below the waist and above the head
- Vision abilities: close vision, depth perception and adjust focus
- Lift and move items up to 20 pounds
- Work may be in a Coolerenvironment (DRESS CODE: CASUAL but layer your clothing so that you stay warm.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school degree required, Minimum of 1 year experience in production or food manufacturing preferred but not required Knowledge of FDA and OSHA regulations is a plus
Language Skills: Can be fluent in English and Spanish
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business. Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
