    What you will be doing

    You will help ensure that our shipping and receiving processes run efficiently across the organization. You will possess a deep understanding of logistical operations and lead the team to process, ship, and receive in a temp-controlled, TSA certified environment. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to process shipments and exceed customer expectations effectively. Additionally, you will have a continuous improvement mindset and desire to further develop your knowledge and skills within the operation, while improving the overall performance of the team.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure shipments are processed in accordance with all local, State, and Federal compliance requirements for domestic and international shipments
    • Monitoring station activity, identifying needs for resources, managing station costs, and ensuring quality objectives are maintained
    • Complying with FAA, TSA, FDA and other regulations that impact our organization
    • Recruiting, hiring and maintaining talented human resources
    • Conducting performance reviews and evaluations with the goal of assessing employee performance and identifying areas for professional development (Succession planning for direct reports)
    • Developing new employees and overseeing the training of staff in handling procedures including timely recurrent training to meet the developing needs of our business
    • Quarterly compensation reviews for direct reports
    • Fostering a cooperative and harmonious workplace while preserving high employee morale (team recognition, True Blues, celebrate team wins)
    • Managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations, including imports, exports, packaging placement and final mile delivery with an eye for continuous improvement and with a sense of urgency to meet critical turnaround times. critical cold chain requirements.
    • Qualifying and maintaining equipment that supports our business
    • Ensuring compliance with all relevant SOPs and good business practices
    • Developing local operational procedures and policies that ensure quality within the organization
    • Collaborating nationally and globally with other managers to develop business strategies, resolve issues and support growth
    • Delegation of responsibilities to ensure all shipments in-transit through the station are properly managed
    • Managing office expenses
    • Meeting company reporting deadline
    • Establish and maintain key service partner relationships with preferred vendors and ensure appropriate service levels are maintained
    • Understanding and implementing new technology to increase performance and productivity

    What your background should look like

    • Bachelors' degree in Facilities, Logistics, or related field
    • Knowledge of domestic and international cold chain logistics
    • Requires 7-10 years directly related and progressively responsible experience, including 5+ years at a manager level
    • Training, Onboarding/Offboarding of associates
    • Environmental Health & Safety awareness
    • Security and Access Control Awareness
    • Natural disasters response plans and awareness
    • HAZMAT Certification (or understanding thereof)
