    Job Summary

    Manages all inventory control, purchasing, and planning operations for the site

    Job Duties

    • Responsible for ensuring Production is supplied with all material necessary to execute the master production schedule
    • Manage the receiving and warehousing of all inbound material
    • Lead, direct the work and manage the employment of all materials employees and Buyer/Planner(s)
    • Manage purchasing activities to ensure economic order quantities are placed to support the production schedule
    • Manage planning activities to ensure an efficient production schedule is provided to support customer demand
    • Strategically manage the warehouse to ensure optimal storage of raw and finished goods
    • Oversee the execution of cycle counts to ensure overall inventory and location accuracy
    • Resolve all inventory related discrepancies and develop corrective actions to prevent future errors
    • Oversee all outbound shipping operations to ensure shipments are safe, secure, and accurate
    • Work with carriers, dispatch, and other logistics to promote timely pickup and delivery of products
    • Support financial cost containment through minimizing inventory loss, root-cause analyses, turnover rates and space requirements
    • Manage the powered lift truck fleet and all material handling equipment
    • Ensure departmental adherence to company 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, standardizing processes, etc.)
    • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Experience and Education

    • Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing, receiving, warehousing, material handling, shipping, and inventory control concepts and principles
    • Proven managerial experience, preferably with larger teams across multiple shifts, and with both hourly and salary direct reports
    • Solid understanding of Supply Chain procedures (Planning, Purchasing, and Material Handling)
    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing methods and waste reduction practices
    • Broad experience with ERP systems/software
    • Experienced in onboarding and training new exempt and non-exempt employees
    • Requires a bachelor's degree in business or logistics and at least five years of relevant experience

    • Competent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint)
