    Manufacturing Technician

    Position Overview:

    Due to our continued growth, Green Bay Packaging Inc. is currently seeking qualified technicians (2nd shift) for the Coated Products Operations slitting and distribution facility located in Riverside, MO.

    Responsibilities:

    The following lists the job task and responsibilities that the technicians may be performing:

    Duties will include operating or assisting in the operation of manufacturing machinery, material handling equipment and general plant operations.

    Palletize cartwheels (rolls of material) on the flat or on the round; he or she will be required to regularly stage and/or move empty pallets by hand or by using a pallet jack/forklift

    Occasional hand-stacking of cartwheels up to 50lbs that are palletized on the flat.

    This position requires the technicians to accurately read, understand and follow written directions on job sheets to palletize correctly.

    The technician will assist in quality inspection, loading and unloading materials form the machine with specialized equipment, and assisting with certain machine operations.

    Operation of equipment such as the pneumatic lifting equipment, chop saw, pneumatic nail guns, forklift, and lifting equipment as well as simple tools such as a hammer, utility knife, and crowbar.

    Other responsibilities include assisting other technicians as needed, stocking supplies, properly marking identifying being sent to customers.

    We are currently on an 8-hour day, 40-hour work week. Employees will be required to work occasional overtime on weekdays and weekends, based on production demands.

    Qualifications:

    Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a stable work history, good communications skills, and the ability to work well with others. Shift and manufacturing experience is a plus.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    In addition to a competitive starting wage of $18.20/hour for 1st shift and a differential of an additional $0.60 for the starting wage of $18.80 for 2nd shift. We offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, prescription drug, life, temporary disability, and pension plan.

    Division Description:

    The Coated Products Operations (CPO) consists of three manufacturing plants, four Slitting and Distribution Centers, and a majority interest partnership in Mexico. The CPO manufactures pressure sensitive label stock, utilizing a variety of face stock, adhesive and release liner combinations. Product capabilities include an expanded film line, as well as traditional paper, foil and thermal offerings.
