Sr. Systems Engineer -- Security Clearance REQUIRED
Description

The Spatial Solutions Division (SSD), part of the Decision Advantage Solutions Business Area, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer (SE) for an emerging opportunity on the Sustainment team of the Sustainment for Analysis Services (SAS) Program. The SE will analyze the emerging opportunity requirements and assist with design analysis. The SE will coordinate COTS/GOTS/FOSS upgrades, and will coordinate with SMEs, Product Owners, and other segments (e.g., GEOAxIS, iSPY, NCL) when issues arise throughout sustainment. The SE, as the Transition Lead, will manage the overall transition process from the former operators and handle all coordination and activities as the emerging opportunity transitions onto SAS. As a Scrum Master, the SE will provide support to overall program oversight and guidance for SAS support of the emerging opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze user requirements, system architecture, and system requirements specifications to determine inefficiencies and issues.
- Organize, monitor, track, and manage project tasks and meeting timelines, attain established goals and milestones, and ensure overall project quality.
- Collaborate with technical staff and customers in forming strategies to improve performance and reliability, and plan for continuous modernization and legacy integration.
- Manage multiple projects while quickly and effectively adjusting to shifting priorities.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality, informative, written, and verbal project communications, to include weekly project status, dashboards, and ad hoc updates.
- Interface with NGA customer and contractor personnel to formulate, review, and effectively execute task plans and to complete deliverable items in accordance with approved plans.
- Help build, manage, and mentor multi-disciplined teams executing Agile processes using best-of-breed tools.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve our software deliverables.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- US citizenship is required per contract.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Windows and Linux systems administration and/or related development.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
- Hands-on experience with and/or strong understanding of issues encountered in modernization efforts and system integration efforts.
- In-depth experience with and understanding of test and evaluation, and systems security compliance and certification.
- Experience working as a Scrum Master for an Agile development or similar technical team.
- Experience using Agile project management tool such as Jira.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and time management skills are a must.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, across diverse systems and groups.
- Experience using, or some exposure to Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2, VPC, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CompTIA Cloud+, or (ISC)2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or similar Agile project management certification (PMI-ACP).
- DoD 8570 compliance certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CISSP, etc).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
