Refractory / Mason - 2nd Shift

The 2nd shift differential pays $2.00 per hour
Position Overview:
CPP is actively hiring for the2nd Shift (3:00 - 11:30 pm M-F).Refractory jobs involve working with refractory materials and equipment, such as a furnace, broiler, and kiln. A refractory technician designs high-temperature equipment and heating structures using heat-resistant elements such as minerals, ceramic, and brick components. A refractory worker aids in the construction and repair of refractory equipment. A refractory bricklayer or refractory mason also works to build ovens and other structures for containing heated materials such as molten metal.Essential Job Functions:
- Direct or assist in razing old structures such as removing brick and debris from furnaces.
- Perform various types of rough finish masonry work such as laying brick.
- Knowledge of the properties and workability of bonding and ceramic materials
- Must be able to work in a team environment,multi-task and provide guidance to otheremployees.
- Ability to set-up molds for melting
- Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to use multiple different pieces of equipment includingRobots, Metal Shear, Wheelbrator, Hydraulic Press, Plasma Torch, Grinders & Cut-Off Saw.
- Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices and procedures

- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience: Knowledge of Foundry environment.
- Certifications/Licenses: Forklift license may be required.
