Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Senior Research Scientist to join a team who specializes in analyzing, understanding, and exploiting foreign RF systems.

Dynetics' National Intelligence Department has an immediate need for a senior-level physicist, mathematician, or engineer. Candidates will be expected to design, develop, optimize, test, deploy, and maintain highly technical algorithms as a part of small teams on a variety of tasks supporting DoD programs.

This role has availability for flex work on either the 9/80 or 4/10 weekly schedule!

Primary Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be research focused, creative, and driven to analyze highly technical problems from different perspectives in order to develop algorithms to analyze and understand collected RF data and systems.

Candidates will use good people skills and strong technical interests/capabilities to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists solving challenging technical questions about complex technologies and applications

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or other technical field and a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience (or as Masters degree with at least 6 years of applicable experience).
• Research-minded, strong work ethic and motivated to solve challenging technical problems
• Strong technical reporting and/or research journal publication interest and skillset
• Demonstrated attention to detail, critical thinking, and desire to work in a team environment
• The ability to communicate professionally and work cohesively in a team environment.
• Candidate must be comfortable leading teams of engineers and interacting with customers.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

• Additionally, highly qualified applicants who enjoy mentoring junior-to-mid-level engineers and scientists are preferred.

Security Requirements:

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
