    Position Summary:

    The Director, Product Marketing supports the planning and execution of strategy that builds preference for assigned brands and product verticals within Leaf Home. The Director, Product Marketing will develop, execute, analyze, and track marketing strategies that drive awareness and engagement with target consumer groups. Typically done through our integrated marketing plan such as traditional and digital media, lead generation campaigns, retail/co-op advertising, in-store communication, fixture development, promotions, pricing, and sales team training.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for building the product marketing practice and team at Leaf Home.
    • Define the team structure for product marketing that will support our growth. Successfully hire and integrate product marketing/brand management roles.
    • Complete customer journey research and codify journeys, drivers, and barriers by product/vertical.
    • Complete consumer needs research and identify specific gaps/opportunities by product/vertical.
    • Develop strategies and plans for each vertical encompassing product innovation, brand-building, demand gen, pricing, etc.
    • Support the roll-out of the stage-gate process for product development.
    • Expertly understand the competitive landscape and how competitors are positioned within the marketplace.
    • Market intelligence expertise on buyer demographics and key buying criteria.
    • Collaborate with product management to identify opportunities to differentiate and grow the business through product innovation.
    • Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with target buyer personas.
    • Work with the marketing team to understand and codify the customer journey, including where the customer gets information and the who, what, when and why behind decisions they make.
    • Drive innovation in sales and marketing processes based on learnings.
    • Assist in the development of marketing plans for assigned products and verticals.
    • Plan and manage cross-functional launch of net-new products and new releases of existing products.
    • Understand and support direct to consumer sales channel.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree required, MBA-preferred.
    • 7+ years of experience in consumer product marketing, brand management or consulting experience within the consumer product or home-services space.
    • 3+ years of management experience.
    • Analytical and results oriented marketer with the skills to plan, prioritize, guide, and coordinate with internal and external teams.
    • Extensive experience in product-based marketing, customer analytics, and market research, preferably in the home services industry or consumer-product space.
    • Expert-level knowledge of research methodologies, survey design, data analysis techniques, and statistical tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Proficiency in using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
    • Data-driven and able to distill data from multiple sources into a cogent narrative that drives alignment and action across the organization.
    • Experience working effectively and getting results within a sophisticated sales organization and with cross -functional teams.
    • Experience working with technical product organizations.
    • Skilled at translating consumer insights into product opportunities, both in terms of major and minor product innovation.
    • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without dropping the ball.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a roll up your sleeves and win every day mentality.
    • Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
    • Detail-oriented and can focus on task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
    • Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.
    • Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
    • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

    • Experience with home improvement, construction, or building products.
    • Less than 10% domestic travel required.
    • Additional hours may be required (exempt positions).
    • Normal office environment.
    • Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
    • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
