    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Imaging RN is an integral part of the Radiology Team. The major goal of the Radiology nurse is to provide exceptional quality nursing care to outpatients and inpatients in the radiology department. The TMC RN provides nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols already developed for the healthcare organization.

    The tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    Assesses plans and evaluates the nursing care needs of the patient before, during and after the invasive procedures.

    Provides nursing care to the patient undergoing the invasive procedures.

    Assists Radiologists during examinations and procedures.

    Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

    Instructs and educates patients and families.

    Provides age appropriate and culturally appropriate care.

    Orients and mentors new staff members.

    Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

      Follows hospital policies around administration of sedation meds in compliance with competencies and licensure.

      What qualifications you will need:
      • Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multistate Compact Registered Nurse License

        • NIH on hire- or within 90 days of transfer or new hire

        • ACLS on hire- or within 90 days of transfer or new hire

        • BLS-Healthcare Provider on hire (American Heart Association)

        • Interventional Radiology, Imaging, ED or ICU experience preferred.
