    JOB SUMMARY: Organize and establish effective project management; coordinate and manage design and specification decisions and documentation production; effectively manage changes in the project and eliminate disruptions between project participants; ensure quality design and technical work while properly managing the work in the field. Provides sustaining support in the day-to-day park operation of electrical equipment and control systems, both hardware and software, and basic mechanical support for Ride and Show systems. This includes, but is not limited to; downtime recovery, troubleshooting and fault analysis, redesign assignments, system testing and start-up integration of Ride and Show systems. On call 24/7 to facilitate maintenance support per departmental guidelines. Emphasize hands on management of field and implement efficient and timely document control.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supervises the fault identification and analysis to facilitate downtime recovery of the day-to-day operations of UO parks by giving support senior level engineers and direction to maintenance staff. Provides basic design and maintenance support for all UO attractions. Effectively communicate on all technical issues related to ride control systems and recommend change proposals. Manage the implementation of proposed changes in accordance with engineering procedures.
    • Manages the implementation of solutions (proactive maintenance) to improve operational reliability, safety, and serviceability of Ride & Show equipment and controls through improved diagnostics, approved software revisions, technician training, and Preventative Maintenance improvement. Perform research and give solutions for Predictive Maintenance technology to ensure operational improvement of electrical controls.
    • Troubleshooting PLC systems, drive systems, and network systems and providing detailed analysis of failures (Root Cause Analysis).
    • Supports design, programming modification, and execute testing of Ride and Show system electrical controls equipment for projects assigned from Technical Services Management or Engineering Management.
    • Perform oversight of the vendor support and technician design implementation work. This includes but not limited to evaluation of technical performance which includes all aspects of the project. It also includes management of the Engineering change notice process and modification documentation; coordinates assigned engineering activities between ride planners, ride supervisors, ride managers, and ride technicians.
    • Provides project status of assigned task list items to the appropriate ride manager and engineering management on a regular basis. Updates project status via Maximo on a regular basis. Maintains configuration management of hardware and software documentation in accordance with Engineerings guidelines and procedures for proper archiving and security.
    • Assists senior level Engineers with development of Acceptance Test Procedures on control systems.
    • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION:

    • Technical School in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology or Associates degree (AS) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology experience is preferred.
    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 7+ years experience in electrical controls equipment in a theme park or equivalent environment required.
    • 7+ years field experience of electrical control system technical fault analysis/isolation experience required;
    • or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Six Sigma is preferred.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Responsible for providing sustaining support for all Ride & Show systems resort-wide of electrical equipment and control systems, both hardware and software, and basic mechanical support both daily and on-call 24/7. Project management of all ride control system design modifications and fault analysis resort-wide.
