In this crucial role, the Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for coordinating nursing competence and professional development programs within the inpatient medical, surgical and telemetry units. As a vital part of the clinical leadership team, the Clinical Nurse Educator will conduct ongoing assessments of proficiencies forstaff and management, providing feedback and formal action plans to foster growth and enhance patient care.

    Nurse Educator Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with nursing leadership to assess the educational needs of staff within the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive educational programs to enhance nursing competence and professionalism.
    • Conduct regular competency assessments and identify areas for improvement, offering guidance and resources for skill enhancement.
    • Facilitate ongoing education and training sessions, ensuring staff are up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and evidence-based guidelines.
    • Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Partner with management to address performance concerns and develop action plans to support staff development.
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to maintain the highest standards of nursing education.

    Qualifications:

    • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Master's in Nursing Education or related field preferred.
    • Clinical experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
    • Previous experience in nursing education or staff development is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
