An award winningSurgical Center is searching for a strong, experienced Director of Nursing to lead this outstanding facility in Sunny Southern California.

The Surgery Center Nurse Directorwill join an amazingAmbulatory Surgery Center thathas been recognized as one ofCalifornia'sbestoutpatientcenters.The Surgery Center Nurse Director willdirectlywork with to the Chief ExecutiveOfficer and theChiefFinancial Officer. As the centers Director of Nursing, this individualwill provide guidanceand coordination of all nursing services. Some of these Nursing responsibilitiesincludepre-operative and post-operative care, circulating in the operating room, and handling administrative tasks.

This person will be supported by the Manager of PreoperativeServices, a CNOR Operating Room Nurse Manager, as well as a tenured and experienced team of Surgery Charge RNs.

The energy in this 7-OR Surgical Services Unit can only be described as a team-environment, which makes the support that everyone offers that much more important. Perioperative Services has earned great distinction for its General Surgery services line, and the new Nurse Director will have the opportunity to manage two programs.

The Surgical Services Nurse Director is expected to have knowledge on the principles and practices of Perioperative Nursing and Patient Care. The Director will be responsible for serving as a role model, initiator in problem-solving, decision-making processes, delegating, and communicating information to the nursing staff. The Surgical Services Nurse Director will develop clear performance expectations and resolve performance problems. In addition to these aspects, the Director will also help develop and maintain the departmental budget, as well as regulatory compliance.
