    Clinical Respiratory Therapist

    Are you an experienced, passionate, and skilled Clinical Respiratory Therapist seeking to work the night shift amidst the city that never sleeps?     As a Clinical Respiratory Therapist, you will provide top-notch respiratory therapy to both in-patients and outpatients, collaborating closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Your commitment to outstanding care will be instrumental in evaluating and addressing patients' respiratory needs, in accordance with the hospital's philosophy, policies, and standards.

    Your nocturnal escapades will include:

    • Initiating and monitoring mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive)
    • Delivering various types of breathing therapy and conducting patient assessments
    • Performing postural drainage, percussion, and bronchial hygiene techniques
    • Conducting bedside pulmonary function tests
    • Carrying out blood gas puncture, analysis, and quality control
    • Responding to cardiac arrest and Rapid Response situations, as well as performing CPR
    • After demonstrating competency, emergency endotracheal intubation of adult patients

    To qualify for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you must:

    • Be a graduate of an approved program of Respiratory Therapy
    • Hold a current and valid New York State Respiratory Therapy license, and be credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
    • Possess a current BLS/CPR certification
    • Have prior acute care experience (required)
    • NRP and ACLS certifications are strongly recommended
