Responsibilities:
As the Nurse Manager - PACU, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the PACU
- Ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes
- Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives
- Facilitating staff development through training and mentorship
- Monitoring and managing departmental budgets
- Participating in strategic planning for the department and hospital
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Current RN license or ability to obtain license upon hire
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive nursing experience in PACU or related field
- Previous leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and best practices
