    Associate Director, Donor Management Systems

    The Opportunity

    The Associate Director of Donor Management Systems leads the ongoing operations, maintenance, and development of critical donor management system applications, ensuring top performance, compliance, and efficiency.

    You will help ensure the smooth and reliable functioning of our donor management systems, directly improving our success in attracting and retaining donors. The Associate Director of Donor Management Systems will, combine technical expertise in application support and automation with management and people management skills.

    The Role

    Operational Excellence:

    Improve daily operations of the application support team, utilizing metrics examination to identify improvement opportunities.

    Oversee incident management, problem resolution, and service requests, ensuring service delivery.

    Maintain an accurate inventory of company software assets.

    Technical Leadership:

    Own all aspects of application support, encompassing incident, major incident, service request, problem, and proactive monitoring processes.

    Provide technical guidance for the application stack (Java/J2EE, WebLogic, Oracle database, PostgreSQL, OpenShift, and Unix).

    People Leadership:

    Spearhead and coach the application support team, ensuring completion of employee-related activities like talent acquisition, training, career development, performance management, and compensation.

    Manage direct reports in a global matrix environment, potentially supporting resources from other departments.

    Application Lifecycle Management:

    Collaborate with I&T infrastructure teams to manage application lifecycle activities such as hardware/OS and firmware upgrades.

    Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines (QMS) and IT policies, closing audit findings within agreed timelines.

    Automation Champion:

    Guide automation initiatives by applying UIPath or similar tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

    Integration Expertise:

    Guarantee the functionality of all integrations with donor management systems and other applications.

    Knowledge and Innovation:

    Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and best practices within the application support domain.

    Vendor Management:

    Manage the vendor selection process, establish service levels, monitor performance, and manage contracts for the main IT vendors.

    SDLC Ownership:

    Manage the full SDLC for global donor management system applications (NexLynk DMS, Kinari, Donor 360, integrations, and other applications to be onboarded).

    Disaster Recovery and On-Call Support:

    Develop disaster recovery procedures for the applications under your purview.

    Implement and oversee on-call support plans for the applications in scope.

    Your Skills and Experience

    Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

    Masters degree is preferred.

    10+ years of experience in IT within applicable function that directly aligns with the responsibilities for this position, including 4+ years of managerial experience managing employees & contractors.

    Technical expertise in managing Enterprise Applications that use Java/J2EE, WebLogic, Oracle database, PostgreSQL, Container technology and Unix.

    Leadership experience including experience influencing senior management.

    Experience working with strategic partners and managed services vendors.
