    Weld Technician

    Weld Technician:Performs a variety of operations and support of our weld equipment including, but not limited to weld changeovers, using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, light power tools, and equipment.
    Adhere to Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies

    Utilize 5s principles to maintain clean and safe working environment
    Understand and follow all required DOS standards.
    Responsible for welder change overs and charting change overs to track continuous improvements.
    Responsible for notification to leadership for all worn, lost, and broken tooling.
    Maintain all tooling carts and have knowledge of what value stream the tooling is for.
    Understanding of weld run out parameters and demonstrate ability to adjust to engineering specifications.
    Understanding of weld faults, how to clear the faults, and the ability to set up next part runs on the welders.
    The ability to learn and can commit to continuous improvements to reduce set up time.
    Train production personnel to set up and operate new and/or updated production welding equipment, tooling, and gauges.
    Coordinate efforts across all teams to improve department measurables (Scrap, Cost, Efficiency).
    Performs routine autonomous maintenance on equipment as defined.
    Complete a daily pre-shift and change over checklist.
    Performs all position responsibilities in a safe manner and in accordance with all prescribed time schedules.
    Able to read a tape measure and micrometer.
    Able to read and understand process work instructions.
    Ability to perform bench layout of welded assemblies.
