The RN Oncology Navigator will work full-time in a wonderful acute care hospital. This fast-paced, 150+ bed hospital is known for their advanced expertise and state-of-the-art technologies, supporting them in delivering quality patient care. The hospital currently holds a 4-star CMS rating and was recently recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.

Reporting to the Nursing Director Oncology Services, the RN Oncology Navigator will function as an educator, counselor, and interpreter for oncology nurses and oncology patients. They will work closely with the OCN Oncology Manager and Cancer Services Charge Nurse to deliver quality care to patients. On the outpatient side, the Oncology Navigator will work closely with ONS Certified Bio/Chemo Providers to ensure top quality patient care.

The Oncology department fosters a supportive, caring, and nurturing atmosphere. The RN Oncology Navigator will provide excellent nursing care, as well as serve as an educational resource for oncology nurses and patients. They will ensure nurses and patients are informed, and ensure that patients receive transparent, quality care. Supported by a team of staff nurses and support staff, this person will lead their team to deliver outstanding education and navigation for oncology health care.

The RN Oncology Navigator will lead education development for oncology nurses, and serve as an advocate and counselor for oncology patients, specifically Breast Cancer patients. They will ensure nurses understand clinical competencies related to oncology care, as well as advise patients regarding their care plan. The RN Oncology Navigator will serve as a great support system for patients and families. They will encourage, sympathize, and comfort oncology patients.
