    ThePediatric Cardiac Intensive Care UnitCVICUNurse Practitionerwill provide specialty medical care for children with complex acute, critical and chronic illness in the Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. ThePediatric CVICUNurse Practitioner will function independently, under the supervision an attending pediatricintensivistand cardiologist in accordance with a standard care arrangement and specialty board certification.

    The Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care UnitCVICUNurse Practitionerwill operate in accordance with theCalifornia Medical Board regulation, the national board certifying agency and maintains a Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician(s). Reporting directly to a Senior Director, thePediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit CVICUNurse Practitioner will have excellent communication and customer service skills,provenexcellence in clinical care and supervisory skills.

    The idealPediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit CVICUNurse Practitioner NP should haveMasters or Post Masters Degree required with active certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) with practice authority in the State ofCalifornia. Must have current certificate of authority and certificate to prescribe (and/or eligible by theCalifornia Medical Board) with Pediatric Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) Certification, preferred and minimum of 2-3 years of pediatric critical care and cardiovascular experience.
