    Job Summary

    • The Occupational Therapist-Pediatricis accountable for evaluating, planning, and executing all aspects of Occupational Therapy, infant through geriatric, with disabilities, disorders, and injuries to develop and restore maximal functional level.
    • Primary caseload in pediatrics is birth to 21. Occasional coverage for hospital patients for all otherage ranges as part of a weekend/holiday rotation.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customers status.
    • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.

    Education and/or Experience

    • Masters Degree is required.
    • Doctorate Degree is preferred.
    • Must be a graduate of/or certified from a curriculum of Occupational Therapy approved by the AOTA accrediting body.
    • 0-6 months of experience is required.
    • 1-2 years of experience is preferred.

    CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS

    • Must be licensed to practice Occupational Therapy by the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) is required.
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is preferred.

    Work Schedule

    • Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
      • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
      • Occasional weekend and holiday
      • This position will be part of the OT weekend (Saturday coverage) rotation at the inpatient therapy department at Avera St. Luke's Hospital several times per year.
      • As part of the weekend holiday rotation along with all other OT staff members.

    Pay

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

    • $31.75 - $48.00
