    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The UItrasound Tech works in conjunction with the Chief Tech, Imaging Manager, Director and Medical Staff to improve the patient and work flow via providing support, education and leadership to the technical staff. Perform sonography/vascular procedures as outlined by the State of Texas and departmental protocols, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.

    What you will do in this role

    • You will be responsible for the customer needs of the Ultrasound area of the Imaging Department.
    • You will demonstrate knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment and policies - Hospital and Department - that are necessary for job performance, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.
    • You will collaborate with other department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives.
    • You will maintain and achieve daily productivity and quality assurance standards set by management.
    • You will need the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
    • You will need to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
    • You will be authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform, the assigned duties.

    What qualifications you will need:
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
    • Certificate
    • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Ultrasonographer must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
