Under the general supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, the Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services will be responsible for the coordination and daily operations ofthe Radiology departmentat the hospital and Tower Imaging. The Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services will be supported by Radiology Manager,Supervisor and 85skillfulFTEs.

The Director of Radiology has primary responsibility for leading, controlling, planning, organizing and evaluating the timely, effective and efficient delivery of the departments operations on a 24-hour basis. The Director of Diagnostic Imaging will be responsible for ensuring that the department performs to the highest possible standard within the resources made available, thus ensuring the delivery of quality care and service to patients, staff and visitors.

The Director of Diagnostic Imaging will act as a role model, has accountability for the departmental budget and Position Control, ensures the consistent application of the Hospitals policies and procedures and fosters teamwork within and between areas of responsibility. The Director of Radiology is also responsible for promoting specialized knowledge and skills through the support of staff education and professional development.

The Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services will work closely with the Marketing Director to develop and implement a marketing plan that aligns with the strategic plan that is focused on increasing the patient volume and improving the patient inpatient and outpatient experience and accomplishes the goals and objectives of imaging services for both inpatient and outpatient services.
