Avera is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Averas patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

• The Licensed Practical Nurse in the Dialysis Unit assists with providing hemodialysis treatments for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process within the scope of practice for an LPN.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Averas values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
• Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives.

Education and/or Experience

• Graduate of a licensed practical nursing curriculum or its equivalent is preferred.
• Prefer 6-12 months experience on Med-Surg Unit.
• 6 months-1 year of experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Must have current LPN licensure in the state of SD or multi-state privilege to practice in SD if residing in a compact state outside of SD
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire

Work Schedule

• Day shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
  • 4:30 am - 5:00 pm, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Every 3^rd weekend (Every 3rd Saturday. Sundays off)
  • Occasional holiday (Two holidays/year are required)
  • Occasional call time

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $22.75 - $31.50 per hour
