    Job Summary

    The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for providing professional care for clinic patients following established standards and practices under the supervision of the provider.

    Education & Experience

    • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or technical degree preferred.
    • National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT) or National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association or Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center Competency Testing (NCCT) or National Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) required.
    • Basic Life Support required within six months of employment.
    • Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.

    Work Schedule

    • 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Shift may be extended based on scheduled or added appointments.
    • Monday Friday (days) with occasional Saturdays.

    Pay

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

    • $18.50 - $25.75 per hour
