    Nurse Practitioner Hematology Oncology NP

    An Amazing opportunity is now available in a Southern California non profit Medical Center seeking a Oncology Nurse Practitioner NP.

    The Cancer Center Nurse Practitioner will work within a Comprehensive Cancer Program, and will play a crucial role in the lives of all the patients. The Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner will report to the Cancer Center Administrator and collaborate with a team of 10 other Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Coordinators, Nursing Staff, and Social Workers will support the Oncology Medical Director.

    The Inpatient Oncology Nurse Practitioner will be working with patients suffering from a number of types of Cancer, and are responsible for making each patient comfortable, motivated and understanding of the treatment plan. The patient population of the unit is highly unique and specialized, with a variety of Cancer prognosis.

    The Inpatient Oncology Nurse Practitioner will work alongside with the hospitals expert oncologists, surgeons, nurses, and many other ancillary staff that specialize in not only the diagnosis but also the treatment of cancer. This medical institution is known to utilize a patient-centered approach when diagnosing and treating symptoms of cancer by remaining calm and viewing the whole patient both physically and emotionally.

    The Inpatient Oncology Nurse Practitioner will work within a cancer center that is accustomed to diagnosing and treating a number of diseases including cancer of the brain and spine, breast, colorectal, gynecologic, head and neck, lung, prostate, and skin. This oncology department is determined to expand cancer research while delivering the latest and most advanced cancer care. The Inpatient Oncology Nurse Practitioner will be a vital member of the oncology nursing leadership team as they will be responsible for attaining full patient medical histories, performing physical exams, diagnosing medical issues, providing adequate medical treatment, ordering medications, performing invasive and non-invasive procedures, and educating both staff and patients alike.
