Job Summary

• The RN Resident Care Supervisor is accountable for coordinating resident care from pre-admission to post discharge for residents on assigned neighborhoods of the facility.
• Supervises nursing staff, coordinates the completion and submission of the MDS, and coordinates and develops residents/tenants' plans of care. Determines and coordinates Medicare eligibility.
• Demonstrates leadership to other staff members, coaches, assists in supervision and evaluation of nursing staff.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.

Education and/or Experience

• Associate's Degree is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Experience in dealing with the public and clients is required.
• Geriatric, medical or surgical experienceis preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Current license to practice nursing in the State of South Dakota.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Work Schedule

• Monday Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Occasional weekend (Call rotation on weekends shared with other Nursing Leaders)
  • Occasional holiday (Rotate Holiday Call Coverage with other Nursing Leaders)
  • Occasional (Weekend call coverage rotation with other Nursing Leaders)
