    Warehouse Maintenance Technician

    Job Summary

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair of all equipment within the building and all building maintenance functions in a safe and efficient manner.

    Job Description

    • Experience Required: 3 to 5 years
    • Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
    • Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds

    Job Responsibilities

    • Repair and perform preventive maintenance on machinery. Use mechanical and electrical equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes and ammonia refrigeration systems.
    • Visually inspect and test machinery and powered equipment using electronic testing equipment and hand tools.
    • Listen and observe operation of machines and equipment to detect malfunctions and diagnose problems.
    • Install, program and repair automated machinery and equipment.
    • Design and fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools, improving existing efficiencies.
    • Maintain and repair distribution center building and grounds using hand and power tools, hoists and cranes.
    • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other machine parts using pressure washer, brushes, grease gun and gear lubricant dispenser.
    • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
    • Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
    • Assemble, install and maintain pipe system and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
    • Maintain a safe, clean work area.
    • Ability to read and understand blueprints, wire schematics and technical manuals.
    • Maintain detailed summary sheets of tasks performed with regard to preventive maintenance, diagnoses of problems and repairs performed on equipment.
    • Attain at least a B+ grade and perform work on ammonia system.
    • Maintain current HAZMAT training and resp. fit testing.
    • Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed and assigned.

    Starting Rate of Pay

    $28.50
